Delete Irrelevant Content or Links to improve Squidoo Lensrank

All fellow Lensmasters.

I know it can be an excruciating wait for that daily lensrank update- when you've just tweaked your lens and you wonder whether your lensrank will be positively affected.

I am still fairly new to squidoo - but I think i have realised atleast one factor which does have an impact on your squidoo ranking once you have had a fair bit of Content or Links on your squidoo lens. Delete any Content or Links which are Irrelevant or not connected to your keyword or main topic of your Squidoo Lens. I have done that twice and i notice a decent improvement in my Squidoo Lensrank.

One of my lenses was doing fairly well on traffic and ranking and hence i thought i might leverage on that traffic and so I added links to my other lenses which were in dire need of some traffic. The links were not directly relevant. I thought it would improve the ranking of my other Squidoo lenses. In fact this irrelevant link did the opposite for all my Squidoo Lensrank. The well-progessing lens on which i had added the links to my other lenses, started falling in Lensrank while there was no benefit to the other lenses. Thats when i realised that i should delete those irrelevant links as well as delete all unrelated and irrelevant content from my squidoo lens.

It did work. Once I did delete all the unrelated content, my Squidoo Lensrank started showing signs of improvement. That's just one of tips from my experiences with Squidoo.

I will keep on posting more tips from my personal experiences. But the moral of this story is that we must edit our Squidoo Lenses on a regular basis and do some cleaning up. We must delete all Irrelevant Content or Links on our Lenses and then we will definitely witness an improvement in our Squidoo Lensrank

Farhan Akhtar- Rock on!

Rock on is a movie about living your dreams. Its a universal feeling. Every year we have billions of starry eyed youth in their teens and early twenty fresh out of college, who believe that the world will dance to their tunes. Soon they get into the daily rigmarole and rat race and all the dreams are confined to the attic.

Some of us do become successful materially as Farhan Akhtar's Character Aditya Shroff in the movie does. Whereas others like Joe - played by Arjun Rampal fall by the wayside.

But deep down in their heart, both of them are not happy.

This film is more to do about relationships and people dealing with their unfulfilled wishes rather than just a band which is trying to make it. The performances by Farhan Akhtar and Arjun Rampal were outstanding. It's a must watch film.

You can feel the pain of Aditya - the unhappiness of it all despite having a lavish apartment, a trophy wife, a BMV, a corner office in an investment bank. Yet deep down inside him- he was empty. You feel anguished at the state of Joe despite him being so talented

The other characters KD and Rob - played by Purab Kohli and Luke Kenny also play admirable supporting characters. I can literally identify with scores of KD's i have met, who give up all their dreams and join their family business. Yes, there are scores of Rob's as well who keep on pursuing it in a small way just about making a living.

Thats the best part about this movie. All the character's are so believable and you feel as if you know each of these characters so well that you may have met them at one point in life or better still, you might yourself identify with one of these characters as I Did.

Perhaps, you may have wished that the characters were slightly more fleshed out, but that would be nitpicking. Overall if you breathe and dream - you cannot afford to miss Rock on - a rocking debut for Farhan Akhtar.

Afer watching Farhan's Acting debut in Rock on!, I was deeply inspired to build a squidoo lens on him. I checked out the Squidwho site and realised that there was no fan page yet. Perhaps, because squidoo is yet to take off in India in a big way. So there you go i created a squidoo lens dedicated to Farhan Akhtar
